Reagent Powder Pillows measure monochloramine, free ammonia nitrogen and free chlorine in water, chlorinated water, swimming pool water and other liquids.
Reagent Powder Pillows measure monochloramine 0.04-4.50 mg/L Cl₂, free ammonia nitrogen 0.01-0.50 mg/L NH₃-N and free chlorine 0.04-4.50 mg/L Cl₂ in water and other liquids. The product uses Indophenol method (10171, 10200, 10201). Each product package contains 100 Powder Pillows. Article 2802299 can be evaluated using all Hach instruments except DR820.
Before you start take into account the following:
- Collect samples in pretreated glass containers to ensure error-free testing results.
- Conduct the sample evaluation immediately after collection.
- It is not recommended to conserve the sample for later analysis.
Procedure for O₂ evaluation
In order to evaluate free chlorine concentration in the sample, start program 66 Monochloramine LR. Mix 10mL of sample and 5 drops of Freechlor F Reagent in the sample cell. Add 10mL of sample in the blank cell. Pour Monochlor F Reagent Powder Pillow in each cell. Close cells and shake the cell content for 20 seconds. After 5 minutes, install the pretreated blank cell in the instrument and press ZERO. Remove the blank, insert the prepared sample cell and analyze testing results. The measurement wavelength for spectrophotometers is 655nm. The recommended wavelength for colorimeters is 610nm.
