2606945 Nitrogen, Ammonia Cuvette Test, 0.4-50 mg/L NH₃-N

16 mm high range Test 'N Tube Cuvette test measures 0.4-50 mg/L NH₃-N in water, wastewater and seawater. The product uses salicylate method (10031). The product may be used to perform analysis of 25-50 tests. Article 2606945 can be evaluated with DR900 only.

Procedure for NH₃-N measurement

Prepare the blank by pouring 0.1 mL of ammonia-free water in the Test 'N Tube. Prepare the sample by adding 0.1 mL of sample to the Test 'N Tube. Put the content of Ammonia Salicylate and Ammonia Cyanurate Reagent Powder Pillow to each vial. After that close and mix the content of each vial. After 20 minutes, insert the blank-value vial in the colorimeter and push ZERO. Remove the blank vial, insert the vial containing water, wastewater or seawater sample and evaluate testing results. The required measurement wavelength is 655 nm (for spectrophotometers) or 610 nm (for colorimeters).

Sample preparation

It is recommended to store cyanide solutions at pH>11 to prevent exposure to hydrogen cyanide gas. It is required to store the sample in clean glass or plastic containers. Store the conserved water, wastewater or seawater sample at or below 6 °C (43 °F) for up to 28 days. The product storage conditions are between 10 °C and 25 °C.
