2604545 Nitrogen, Ammonia Cuvette Test, 0.02-2.50 mg/L NH₃-N

2604545 Hach

Test 'N Tube Reagent Set measures ammonia nitrogen and inorganic nitrogen total in water, wastewater and seawater.

Add to bag

16 mm low range Test 'N Tube Cuvette test measures 0.02-2.50 mg/L NH₃-N and 0.2 to 25.0 mg/L N in water, wastewater and seawater. The product uses salicylate method (10023). Article 2604545 can be used to measure 25-50 tests. TNT product can be evaluated on DR900 only.

Procedure for NH₃-N measurement

For evaluation of the sample analysis containing ammonia nitrogen, it is required to start program 342 (Ammonia LR TNT) and prepare the blank-value vial and sample vial (see manual for detailed information regarding preparation procedure). Pour the content of Ammonia Salicylate Reagent Powder Pillow and Ammonia Cyanurate Reagent Powder Pillow in each vial. After that tightly close and vigorously shake vials. After 20 minutes, put the blank-value vial in the colorimeter and push ZERO (install the instrument cap on instrument before pushing ZERO or READ). Insert the sample vial in the cell holder and evaluate the collected sample. To measure total inorganic nitrogen, it is required to follow the procedure recommended by manufacturer (see manual). Perform the analysis of the sample using measurement wavelength 655nm (for spectrophotometers) or 610nm (for colorimeters). See manual for additional information regarding determination of inorganic nitrogen total.

Sample preparation

It is recommended to store cyanide solutions at pH>11 to prevent exposure to hydrogen cyanide gas. The product storage conditions are between 10 °C and 25 °C.
