For glutaraldehyde evaluation in oil fields, cooling towers, hospitals, food plants and poultry farms. This kit helps to monitor disinfection processes.
Glutaraldehyde Test Set measures the concentration of glutaraldehyde in the range of 1 - 2800 mg/L in oil fields, cooling towers, hospitals, food plants and poultry farms. The set uses Color Disc method. Model GT-1 can be used to conduct 100 tests. The smallest increment is 0.5.

Procedure for Glutaraldehyde analysis
Before you start take into account the following:
- Prepare the MBTH reagent and use the pretreated reagent in the test procedure.
- Prepare the ferric chloride reagent and use the prepared reagent in the test procedure.
- Store the pretreated MBTH and Ferric Chloride reagents at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Testing procedure
Boil the water in the glass beaker. Perform dilution if reqired. After dilution, add 1 mL of distilled water to the blank tube. Pipet 1 mL of sample or diluted sample to the sample tube. Rinse the syringe with distilled water. Fill each tube to the 5 mL line with the prepared MBTH reagent and swirl to mix. Place the tubes in the glass beaker and boil the tubes for 2.5 minutes. Use the clamp to remove the tubes. Put tubes in the kit till and let tubes cool down. Add pretreated ferric chloride reagent into two tubes to the 10‑mL mark. Install the stopper on tubes and invert to mix. After 5 minutes, insert the blank tube into the left opening of the color comparator box. Place the sample tube into the color comparator box, rotate the color disc to match the color and read the value in the scale window.
