Accuvac Reagent Set measures fluoride in water, wastewater and seawater.
Accuvac Reagent Set measures 0.02-2.00 mg/L F in water, wastewater and seawater. The product uses SPADNS 2 method (10225). The product may be used for 25 tests. Each Accuvac ampule contains the exact amount of reagent for a single test and may be used as a measurement cuvette.
Before you start take into account the following:
- It is recommended to collect the sample using clean glass or plastic vessel.
- The temperature of the water, wastewater or seawater sample and deionized water must be the same (±1 °C).
- The temperature may be adjusted before or after the reagent addition.
- Measure the reagent volume using a volumetric or high precision pipet.
- Repeat the sample analysis using same glass vessels to receive precise testing results.
- It is required to distill the collected sample to eliminate the majority of interferences.
Procedure for F determination
Start program 190 Fluoride to conduct reagent solution test in the range of 0.02-2.00 mg/L F. Prepare the sample and blank AccuVac Ampuls (see manual). Mix the content of AccuVac Ampuls and after 1 minute, evaluate each AccuVac Ampul in the instrument. The fluoride combines with part of the zirconium forming colorless complex that bleaches the red color that should be evaluated photometrically. See manual for additional information regarding sample evaluation using colorimeter.
