Chloride Reagent Set measures low range chloride in process water, wastewater and seawater by argentometric titration.
Chloride Reagent Set measures chloride in the range from 10 to 100 mg/L Cl⁻ in water, wastewater and seawater. Article 2444100 uses Silver Nitrate Titration method (8207). The product can be used to conduct analysis of 100 samples.

Summary of method
The silver ions in the titrant react with the chloride in the sample to form a precipitate of silver chloride. Once all of the chloride is in the form of silver chloride, the silver ions react with chromate (from the Chloride 2 indicator) to form a precipitate of silver chromate. The silver chromate precipitate is orange or reddish brown, indicating the end point of the titration.
