225001 Phosphate, Total Ortho-/Meta-Test Kit, Model PO-24

Phosphate, Total Ortho-/Meta-Test Set is required to perform ortho- (reactive) and meta- (condensed) phosphate analysis in water. The set measures orthophosphate in the following ranges: 0 - 0.8 mg/L PO₄ (LR), 0 - 4 mg/L PO₄ (MR) and 0 - 40 mg/L PO₄ (HR). Model PO-24 uses Color Disc/Ascorbic acid method. Phosphate, Total Ortho-/Meta-Test Kit may be used for 100 tests. The smallest increments are 0.02, 0.1 and 1 mg/L PO₄.

Procedure for PO₄ analysis

Before you start take into account the following:

• Use sunlight or lamp as the light source to find the matching color with the color comparator box.
• Pull apart the flat plastic sides, open the color disc and dry all parts with soft cloth if the color disc becomes wet internally.
• Use the standard solution as the sample to control the test accuracy.

Test procedure

If your sample contains turbidity, filter it in accordance with the instructions. After that follow the steps below.

In order to perform low-range orthophosphate 0 - 0.8 mg/L PO₄ determination, install the long-path adapter in the color comparator box. After that fill the first tube to the top line with sample. Install the first tube into the left opening of the color comparator box. Fill the bottle with 20 mL of sample and PhosVer 3 Phosphate Reagent Powder Pillow. 6. After 2 minutes, the blue color appears. Transfer the bottle content into the the second tube to the top line. Insert the second tube into the color comparator box, rotate the color disc to identify the color match and divide the value in the scale window by 50 to get the testing results in mg/L.
