224902 Phosphate Test Kit, Model PO-23

Phosphate Test Kit is a simple and reliable way for phosphate determination in various water samples. The kit measures phosphate in the range of 0.1 - 40 mg/L PO₄. Model PO-23 uses Color Disc/Ascorbic acid method. Phosphate Test Kit can be used to conduct analysis of 100 samples. The smallest increments are 0.1 and 1 mg/L PO₄.

Procedure for PO₄ measurement

Before starting analysis:

• Clean tubes and bottles with 6.0 N (1:1) hydrochloric acid solution and rinse with deionized water. 
• Use the standard solution as the sample to control the test accuracy.
• Follow the filtration procedure for the samples containing turbidity. 
• To determine metaphosphate, use the digestion procedure to determine the concentration of total inorganic phosphate. Subtract the orthophosphate test result (without digestion) from the total inorganic phosphate result.

Testing procedure

If your sample contains turbidity, filter it according to the instructions. After that follow the steps below.

In order to perform orthophosphate determination in the range of 0.1 - 4 mg/L PO₄, fill two tubes to the first line with sample. Insert the first tube into the left opening of the color comparator box. Pour the content of PhosVer 3 Phosphate Reagent Powder Pillow to the second tube. Swirl the second tube till the blue color appears. After 1 minute, install the second tube into the color comparator box, rotate the color disc to match the color and read the value in the scale window. Divide the value by 10 to get the testing results in mg/L.
