Reagent Powder Pillows measure benzotriazole and tolyltriazole in cooling and boiler water.
Article 2141299 measures benzotriazole 1.0-16.0 mg/L and tolyltriazole 1.0-20.0 mg/L in cooling and boiler water. The product uses UV Photolysis method (8079). Each package of Triazole Reagent Powder Pillows can be used to conduct analysis of 100 tests. The product is compatible with all Hach instruments except DR820, DR850 and PC II.
Before starting analysis:
- It is required to collect the sample in clean glass or plastic bottles.
- It is necessary to analyze the sample instantly after collection for accurate testing results.
Procedure for Benzotriazole & Tolyltriazole analysis
Run program 30 Benzotriazole to determine benzotriazole in the range from 1.0 to 16.0 mg/L. Start program 730 Tolyltriazole to conduct analysis of tolyltriazole 1.0-20.0 mg/L. Swirl 25 mL sample and Triazole Reagent Powder Pillow in the marked mixing bottle. Put the ultraviolet lamp in the mixing bottle for 5 minutes. Then remove the UV lamp from the mixing bottle and stir the mixing bottle content. Transfer 10 mL of the pretreated sample in the cell. Fill another cell with 10 mL of the unreacted sample to prepare the blank cell. After that clean the blank cell and install in the cell holder. Insert the pretreated sample cell in the instrument and evaluate testing results.
