1406499 Total Chlorine Reagent Powder Pillows, 0.02-10.00 mg/L Cl₂

Reagent Powder Pillows measure low range 0.02-2.00 mg/L Cl₂, mid range 0.05-4.00 mg/L Cl₂ and high range total chlorine 0.1-10.0 mg/L Cl₂ in water, estuary water, seawater and other liquids. The product uses DPD method (8167, 10070, 10250). Each package contains 100 Powder Pillows. The product is compatible with spectrophotometers DR900, DR1900, DR2000, DR3000, DR3900 and DR6000. Article 1406499 may be used for 25mL sample analysis in the low range, 10mL in the mid range and 5mL in the high range.

Before starting analysis:

• It is required to collect a representative sample using clean glass container.
• It is recommended to perform total chlorine determination immediately after collection.
• It is required to measure the reagent blank value for each reagent lot.

Procedure for Cl₂ determination

In order to evaluate low range total chlorine, start program 80 Chlorine F&T PP. Swirl 10mL of sample and the content of Reagent Powder Pillow in the cell. After that fill another cell with water, estuary water, seawater or other liquid sample to prepare the blank. Insert the blank cell in the Hach spectrophotometer or colorimeter and select ZERO. Clean the pretreated sample cell and install in the instrument to conduct sample analysis. The measurement wavelength for spectrophotometers is 530nm.
