1271099 ChromaVer 3 Chromium Reagent Powder Pillows, 0.01-0.70 mg/L Cr⁶⁺

Article 1271099 measure hexavalent chromium 0.01-0.70 mg/L Cr⁶⁺ in water, wastewater and other liquids. The product uses 1,5-Diphenylcarbohydrazide 4 method (8023). The product can be used to perform analysis of 100 samples. ChromaVer 3 Chromium Reagent Powder Pillows is compatible with all Hach spectrophotometers except DR820, DR850, DR2000 and DR3000.

Before starting analysis:

• Collect the sample in clean glass or plastic container.
• Let the sample temperature increase to room temperature before sample evaluation.
• It is required to dilute the sample at high chromium levels.

Procedure for Cr⁶⁺ determination 

Start program 90 Chromium, Hex to evaluate hexavalent chromium in the range between 0.01 and 0.70 mg/L Cr⁶⁺. Add 10 mL of sample and Reagent Powder Pillow in the cell. Swirl the sample cell and start the instrument timer for 5 minutes. Fill another cell with 10 mL of water, wastewater or other liquid sample to prepare the blank. After 5 minutes, clean the blank cell and insert in the instrument. Remove the blank, insert the pretreated sample cell and analyze testing results.

ChromaVer 3 Chromium Reagent contains acidic buffer combined with 1,5-Diphenylcarbohydrazide that enters into reaction in the presence of hexavalent chromium giving purple color.

Sample preparation

Store the product container tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place.
