The CARBOTEC TR-PT is a high-precision inline CO₂ sensor from Centec, designed for continuous measurement of dissolved carbon dioxide in beer and beer-mixed beverages based on the proven pressure and temperature method (Henry's Law). Several times per minute, the measuring chamber closes and expands, allowing CO₂ to transition from liquid to gas phase until equilibrium pressure is reached; CO₂ concentration is then determined from the measured pressure and temperature values. The sample is returned to the product after each cycle with no losses. Automatic temperature compensation via integrated Pt100, full CIP compatibility, and Varivent DN65–DN150 connection make it a reliable and low-maintenance inline measurement solution.

The CARBOTEC TR-PT is a high-precision inline CO₂ sensor from Centec for continuous dissolved carbon dioxide measurement in beer and beer-mixed beverages. Its measurement principle is based on Henry's Law: several times per minute, the measuring chamber integrated into the sensor head closes and its volume suddenly expands. This expansion causes a phase transition of CO₂ from the liquid product into the gas phase within the chamber. Within a few seconds, equilibrium pressure is established in the chamber, which depends directly on the CO₂ content of the product. CO₂ concentration is then calculated from the measured pressure and temperature values. After each measurement cycle, the sample is returned to the product stream with no losses. Temperature drift is automatically compensated by an integrated Pt100 sensor. The instrument is fully CIP-compatible and can be deployed as a standalone inline sensor or integrated with other Centec systems including CARBOTEC NIR, Carbonator, DeCarbonator, and CarboBlender.
