The Hach Orbisphere 311XX electrochemical oxygen sensor represents a proven solution for applications where precise knowledge of oxygen concentration is critical. Based on a patented polarographic design, the sensor delivers fast, accurate, and stable oxygen measurements in both liquid and gaseous samples.
An exclusive valve seat sealing system mechanically tensions the sensor cathode against a ceramic valve seat, ensuring excellent seal integrity even under high pressure conditions. This design minimizes residual signal, resulting in superior measurement accuracy, particularly at trace oxygen levels.
The deep-draw membrane mounting technique creates a uniformly thin electrolyte layer, enabling rapid response times and long-term signal stability. Combined with a screw-on protection cap, the sensor allows service intervals of up to one year.

Operating and handling instructions
The sensor can be installed directly in a process line or used with a compatible flow chamber for spot measurements. Recommended flow rates must be observed to ensure optimal response time and accuracy. The sensor cable, controller, and process connection are not included and must be ordered separately. Periodic inspection of the membrane and O-ring is recommended to maintain performance.
