GranuCult® Plus m-Green Broth is an acidic, granulated microbiological medium designed for the detection and growth of yeasts and molds. It inhibits most bacteria due to its low pH and contains peptones, yeast extract, dextrose, buffering agents and bromocresol green pH indicator. It is suitable for food, beverage and pharmaceutical microbiological testing.
GranuCult® Plus m-Green Broth (catalogue No. 120628) is a dehydrated, granulated microbiological medium used for detection and cultivation of yeasts and molds. The medium has an acidic formulation that suppresses bacterial growth (except acidophilic bacteria), while promoting fungal growth. It contains peptones for nitrogen and carbon sources, yeast extract for vitamins, dextrose for energy, potassium phosphate as a buffer, magnesium sulfate, thiamine and diastase to support nutrient balance, and bromocresol green as a pH indicator to assist in visualizing fungal growth.
Advantages
- Non-selective medium supporting growth of yeasts and molds.
- Acidic pH inhibits most bacterial interference.
- Indicator dye (bromocresol green) facilitates detection of growth changes.
- Granulated format improves solubility and handling.
- Suitable for food and beverage microbiology, including soft drink testing.
